You Brands is one of the Nordic region's most prominent companies that specialises in the distribution of workwear, promotional and gift items.

A total supplier with diversity and passion

In 1989, the production adventure took place in Portugal, where shoes, ceramics and carpets were produced. The real introduction to textiles and the core product t-shirts arose as pure coincidence. From a tip about a container with 40,000 t-shirts in China, this container was imported via Bangladesh to Porsgrunn in Norway. Soon after, a new container arrived from Italy with 165,000 t-shirts. The t-shirts were in 4 colors; black, white, royal blue and red, and everything was sold out at the neat price of kr. 9.90 per piece. This was the start of the textile adventure as we know it today.

Curiosity and coincidence

In addition to competence, curiosity, courage and good opportunities, we have contributed to a solid foundation for good growth. The search for something new resulted in meeting the great demand for a specific product group, and at the same time made the way for the expansion of the range. For several years, Handelskompaniet produced textiles for well-known chains such as Dressmann and Adelsten, and ceramics for BIG and interiors for Bohus.

Market and demand

Most people who know our industry know that it is primarily divided into two main segments, workwear and profile/branding/events. Requirements, demand and feedback from both industries make it easier to customize our collections and specific products.

In addition to our own productions, our agencies have helped to secure products that compliment our own. As part of a diversification strategy and risk analyses, this gives us more confidence and more possibilities.

Back in 1989, our original classic t-shirts was born and introduced. The industry's original Classic t-shirt became a foundation, which has further created solid growth and expansion in our collections and today's market position.

It's no secret that a t-shirt with the label YOU can be found in most national wardrobes.

Efficient logistics is essential for any organization that wants to optimize resource use, reduce costs and deliver products or services on time. This involves excellent planning, implementation and management of a range of activities, including transportation, inventory management, supply chain optimisation and information flow.

Efficient logistics is also one of You Brands' key factors. Our customers often depend on delivery the day after ordering. Our goal is to be able to ship 97% of the assortment within 24 hours! This means that we must have between 3-4 million items in stock at any given time.
